Trunnion valve balls have stems on one end and on the other end, called the trunnion. Due to this design change, the ball can be held firmly in place compare to the floating ball, which only connected to the stem.

Because that any additional pressure on the ball is absorbed by the trunnion and the stem. This leads to a lower operating torque, and subsequently eliminates the need for a large actuator and offer lower operational costs than floating ball valves.

Our trunnion valve balls have all kinds of bore designs, such as L-port, T-port, V-port, X-port, etc.
