The Side Bore Valve Balls are similar to the normal floating valve balls but with an extra drilled hole on the side of valve balls.
The purpose for the side bore is to release the internal pressure inside the valve ball while the valve position is closed. Which can guide the remaining fluid inside the valve ball going through the side bore to the downstream under closing position.
