L-port valve balls have flow paths shaped like capital L which will cause L flow pattern. This will allow flow from one common inlet port to the other port with different direction depends on which position the switch is.
For example, the use of an L-port valve facilitates can draw fluid from more than one source. A simple turn of the handle changes the position of the ball inside the valve and allows a change in the drawing source.
